Four fresh Bazaar events will honor Mediterranean locations

On Celebrity Xcel’s European cruises, four distinct festivals will highlight Mediterranean cultures through various means, such as regional food and drink selections, hands-on craft activities, retail engagement events, cooking and dance classes inspired by the destinations, temporary entertainment setups, and performances by local artists.

  • Opa Festival— a lively tribute to Greek culture. During the day, guests can savor famous dishes such as baklava and moussaka along with interactive experiences like creating “Mati” evil eye jewelry. In the evening, live performers will encourage guests to participate in the festivities by twirling napkins, dancing, laughing, and shouting Opa! to the beat of popular songs.
  • La Dolce Vita Festival— a celebration of Italy’s flavors, beauty, and romance. During the day, guests can savor genuine treats such as limoncello and participate in interactive activities like crafting pasta and tiramisu. By night, the festival will envelop passengers in the sophistication and magic of Venice.
  • Salud Festival — a daring, vibrant mix of Spain’s colors, rhythm, and spirit. During the day, guests can enjoy sangria and try traditional foods while making their own flamenco roses and Spanish fans. In the evening, flamenco dancers and bullfighters will add to the excitement in a lively tribute to passion and Spanish culture.
  • Silk & Spice Festival— an immersive experience exploring the spices, dances, and captivating music of Morocco and Turkey. Throughout the day, guests can savor aromatic teas, indulge in delicious pieces of Turkish delight, and engage in interactive activities. In the evening, the festival will honor rhythm and tradition through lively music and spinning dancers.

Mosaic, an open kitchen concept, will offer reinterpreted and refined dishes influenced by the flavors of cities such as Naples, Mykonos, and Lisbon. Spice, The Bazaar’s casual dining option, will provide a daytime menu featuring rotating bites with unique items inspired by the ports explored on each journey.

Travelers can also gain the skills to cook local specialties from every place they visit at Chef’s Studio at Mosaic, Celebrity’s inaugural cooking school designed around specific destinations.
