WHAT IS WEIGHT WATCHERS?
Before beginning a new weight loss plan or making changes to your diet, it’s important to speak with a healthcare professional regarding any specific health issues you may have. It’s advisable to check your blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and hormone levels during a medical examination before and while participating in the WW program.
Starting with Weight Watchers? Also referred to as WW, this weight management program assigns points to different foods to help monitor and achieve weight loss. Upon registration, you complete an evaluation that determines your daily point limit and weekly quota. You have the option to transfer 4 points from one day to your weekly allowance, which can be beneficial when you need additional points.
I have been part of Weight Watchers since 2011. The program has gone through several iterations, including Points Plus Value, WW SmartPoints, Blue Plan, Green Plan, Purple Plan, WW Personal Points, and now Weight Watchers Points. The latest offering, Weight Watchers Simplified, was introduced in November 2022. It is similar to earlier programs like WW SmartPoints, incorporating some color-based plans as well. (You can see theWeight Watchers Zero-Point Foods 2023 -> here)
Regardless of the WW plan, it aids in developing healthy eating practices. I have reached my lifetime goal weight multiple times but stopped adhering to the plan and monitoring my progress, causing the weight to gradually return.
Currently, you can go ahead ->here and register for Weight Watchers at a cost of $5 per month for the initial three months.
