Although there were distractions online, Powell received a nomination for Best Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy for his leading role in Hulu’s Chad Powers, a sports-based mockumentary that premiered in the fall of 2025.

Speaking with E! News on the red carpet, Powell mentioned that his parents, Cyndy and Glen Sr., were by his side for the night as his “plus two.”
