Glen Powell’s Dream Dates at the 2026 Golden Globes

The 2026 Golden Globes were a touchdown for Glen Powell.
The Chad Powersstar attended the January 11 event with a nomination for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series—Musical or Comedy for his role on the Hulu series, and he was accompanied by his ultimate dream dates: his fatherGlen Powell Sr. and mom Cyndy Powell.
“Hard to earn a plus two at the Golden Globes,” Glen joked withZuri Hall exclusively on Live From E!: Golden Globe Awards 2026at the Beverly Hilton. “But now they are mainstays of the Oscars.
“Technically my mom’s in Chad Powers Also. She didn’t receive a nomination,” the 37-year-old remarked. “The biggest oversight at the Golden Globes. However, she delivered a strong guest appearance.”
Another individual who could potentially appear alongside Glen in the future? His dog Brisket. But as Glen joked, hisA terrier-poodle mix is not easily trained.
“Brisket will probably make a brief appearance in something soon,” Glen said, laughing about how no one in his family—including hisAunt Honey’s kangaroo Trixie “behaves.”

But when it’s time for his major moment at the Golden Globes, theSet It UpThe actor was pleased to be nominated in the comedy category, particularly when competing againstOnly Murders in the Building stars Steven Martin and Martin Short, saying they are “two of the guys who got me into this in the first place. So I’m just really excited.”
Glen—who is also competing againstAdam Brody (Nobody Wants This), Seth Rogen (The Studio) and Jeremy Allen White (The Bear)—previously expressed how excited he was to have his work onChad Powers recognized.
Feeling extremely thankful to be acknowledged for a show that holds immense significance to me, he wrote on Xfollowing the announcements in December, “And it’s completely mind-boggling to be in the same category as some of my comedy idols.”
