Abrams, 26, posted a collection of uncommon private momentsInstagram Storiesposts showcasing tender behind-the-scenes moments of Mescal, 29,Hamnetdirector Chloe Zhao, and co-starJessie Buckley.
“Okay so,” the first slide stated, and featured a picture of theNormal Alum went hiking and explored a waterfall. The next slide showed a picture of Mescal laughing with Buckley, 36, during the filming of the Golden Globe-winning movie.
“I’ve struggled to find the right words to express the impact of this film and how it has stayed with me since my first viewing, but we’re sitting in the kitchen right now, and as I look back at these pictures, I got immediately emotional, so I’m just going to say that Chloe is one of a kind,” the “That’s So True” singer wrote.
“Jessie is one person. Paul is one person. Thank goodness for what they created. Go watch it and you’ll be better for it,” Abrams added.
The Grammy-awarded singer then posted an image of Mescal embracing Zhao, who is 43, and mentioned the Oscar-winning director. In the next slide, theAll Of Us StrangersA star is observed smoking a cigarette while dressed in black pants, a black belt with a gold buckle, and a denim jacket over a red-and-white graphic t-shirt that displays a painting of William Shakespeare accompanied by a clever slogan, and a reference to hisHamnet performance — “Will Power.”
“Also, I love him unexpectedly,” Abrams wrote over the Instagram Stories photo.
The next slide displayed an image of the night sky, with Abrams adding, “P.S. the feeling of being in a large dark room (three times) filled with emotion and crying and hugging one another… A reminder and a comfort. Give that approach a try.” The last slide showed a picture of a forest area covered in birch trees.

Mescal portrays William Shakespeare in a fictional version of the story surrounding the death of the Bard’s son, Hamnet, and shows how the sorrow of losing a child influenced his deep tragedies.Hamlet. Buckley portrays Shakespeare’s wife Agnes Hathaway, about whom very little is documented in historical records. The movie is adapted from the 2020 historical fiction book with the same title by Maggie O’Farrell.
The movie received the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture — Drama, and Buckley was awarded Best Actress in a Motion Picture — Drama.Hamnethas received acclaim for its heartfelt narrative and authentic depiction of sorrow.
Abrams and Mescal were initially connected in 2024, after they were seen having a meal together in London. Abrams has recentlytook Mescal to the Golden Globeson Jan. 11.
