Nikki Glaser did it once more. She took the stage with full force as the host of the2026 Golden Globes, starting the ceremony with jokes targeting Leonardo DiCaprio, CBS News, and Hollywood in general regarding the Epstein files.

After exiting the awards show stage to Taylor Swift’s 2014 song “Style,” Glaser didn’t hesitate in moving forward with her next steps.anticipated opening monologue, first mocking the headline-grabbing Netflix offer for Warner Bros. Discovery. “Good evening and welcome to the Golden Globes. Yes, the Golden Globes, without a doubt the most significant event happening in the world right now,” she started. “So let’s get down to business, shall we? We’ll start thebidding for Warner Bros.for $5. Do I get $5?

Glaser then paused to make a political comment. “I can’t believe how much celebrity presence is in this room tonight. It’s crazy. There are so many top-tier stars, and by top-tier stars I mean people on a list that has been significantly censored. And the Golden Globe for best editing goes to the Justice Department,” the comedian joked, alluding to certain lawmakers’ attempts to get the Justice Department to release the Jeffrey Epstein documents.

She also criticized CBS News, which isnow overseen by editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, after she was named by Paramount CEO David Ellison. However, her three-month time in the role has faced criticism, particularly when she pulled a60 Minutesepisode discussing allegations regarding the investigation of El Salvador’s infamous prison, CECOT. “The award for the most editing goes to CBS News. Yes, CBS News, America’s latest source for B.S. news,” Glaser joked.

The host then began focusing on the celebrity presence in the room at The Beverly Hilton, directing her attention towardJay Kelly actor George Clooney first.

“I’ve always wanted to ask you this question, and I understand it’s not very professional, but I might not get another chance, so here goes,” Glaser said. “My Nespresso is producing coffee that’s a bit watery, and I’m wondering if it’s a pod problem or maybe the filter? Could you help me figure it out later?” Clooney has been a consistent spokesperson for Nespresso, featuring in numerous commercials over the years.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart were soon preparing to endure Glaser’s humor.

The Rock has arrived for theSmashing Machine,” she said. “The Rock is up for an award tonight and fortunately for him, the television show”The Paperis not, so he could still win. And Kevin Hart is here, yes. The Rock’s plus one-half.”

The host added, “Kevin is clearly nominated for his incredibly funny stand-up show tonight. I really love you, Kevin, you’re so amusing. You and The Rock make an amazing comedy pair. A real classic duo. You’re like Steve Martin and Martin Short for those with an IQ under 50.”

Some of the actors fromThe White LotusSeason three also had Parker Posey and Walton Goggins in the audience, with Glaser making a comment about the season’s incest plotline.

One of my top shows ever,” she said. “I really love you all. Did you know thatWhite LotusSeason three was the first successful series to include incest since Property BrothersSeason, all of them? That’s really fascinating, isn’t it?

Glaser later shifted her focus toOne Battle After Anotherstar Leonardo DiCaprio, and although she commended his acting in the movie, the comedian also seized the chance to make a joke about the actor’s girlfriend’s age, which comes from online users noting that his partners throughout the years have always been under 25.

What a career you’ve built. I mean, countless legendary performances. You’ve collaborated with every top director. You’ve earned three Golden Globes, an Oscar, and the most remarkable part is that you managed to achieve all of this before your girlfriend turned 30,” the host said. “I mean, it’s just unbelievable.

“Leo, I’m sorry I made that joke,” she said. It’s beneath us. You know what, I tried not to, but, we don’t have any other information about you, buddy. Like, there’s absolutely nothing else. The most detailed interview you’ve ever done was inTeen Beat magazine in 1991.”

A top actor in one of the year’s most prominent movies was Michael B. Jordan inSinners, and Glaser wasn’t going to let him slip away. “We can’t discuss films this year without mentioningSinners. I mean, Sinnerssingle-handedly kept Warner Bros. going for roughly a month.

“In Sinners, Michael played two brothers. Is it okay to say that? It doesn’t sound correct. He played twins. And I can’t believe it – we ended up with two Michael B. Jordans. When I saw that, I was like, Nikki be jerking because that was amazing.

In conclusion to her speech, which clearly had the A-listers in stitches, Glaser paused to recognize several of the nominated actors and productions.

Yes, I’m your host, but I must say I’m a huge fan. Your work this year was groundbreaking,” she said. “It came across as courageous, motivating, and in certain instances, truly extraordinary. So, just keep doing what you’re doing, alright?

Guillermo del Toro, keep producing strange monster sex films. And James Cameron, keep producing strange monster sex films. Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos, continue creating wonderfully odd movies together and push further. I want Emma Stone to play a piece of toast with epilepsy,” the host added. “Noah Wyle, keep being the only doctor I’ve regularly seen for the past 35 years. Paul Mescal and Jacob Elordi, keep acting like the same person to my mom, OK? Hans Zimmer, keep writing film scores that sound like… [Glaser makes a loud, grunting noise], what a hit. And Claire Danes, keep making sounds that are like… [Glaser screams]. And finally, Steve Martin and Martin Short, keep showing us that in this industry, you’re never, ever too old to still need money.

Glaser is back to host the 2026 Golden Globes following her highly successful performance as host last year. The 83rd edition of the event took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday night. Find thecomplete list of victors here, and check out the red carpet fashion from last night.
