Supermodel Janice Dickinsonis taking legal action with a six-figure claim against the producers ofI’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, claiming she was left with permanent facial injuriesfollowing a mishap during production.

The 70-year-old she said she was hurt after falling in the middle of the night when she got up to go to the bathroomduring the 2023 All Stars spin-off seasonof the reality television program, shot in South Africa.

Legal documents show that a personal injury lawsuit has been filed in the High Court targeting ITV Studios.

The reported incident caused injuries to her head, lips, cheeks, and wrists, according to representatives who mentioned it resulted in lasting facial scarring, distortion, and nerve damage. Ms. Dickinson is said to be pursuing over £700,000 in compensation.

Although court papers outlining the claim have not been made public yet, her UK representative, Dermot McNamara, said: “Janice is completely dedicated to this legal procedure and following it until the end. She is eager to examine ITV’s arguments once she receives them.”

A medical report referenced by the celebrity reportedly indicated that she experiences facial dysaesthesia—a condition that leads to discomfort, increased sensitivity, and decreased feeling as a result of lasting nerve damage.

It also determined that her face has undergone “permanent changes” with scars that cannot be hidden, and lasting imbalance in the lower facial area, including the lips, mouth, cheeks, and chin.

An ITV Studios representative stated, “Janice Dickinson’s claim letter has been received and examined.”

As reported by ITV at that time, the incident happened when the contestant stumbled in camp while heading to the long drop for the night.

Following treatment from the show’s in-house medical staff, she was transported to a hospital as a precaution.

Producers decided it was best for Dickinson to leave the show completely in order to heal.

Talking about the fall during an exit interview, she said, “I could have been the second runner-up or even won this competition because I was so determined and physically committed. I was simply waiting and holding back throughout it all.”

I had my share of standing up and falling down. I got my face in the dirt. I felt like they might have been able to clean my wounds and get me back on track. But in the end, production made the right choice by not sending me back in.
