A shocking video has emerged as part of the ongoing investigation into a fatal crash in Bolton, England, which claimed the lives of four individuals. The footage, reportedly showing a driver reaching speeds of over 120mph while weaving through traffic, is now being scrutinized by authorities as they seek to uncover the circumstances that led to the tragic incident.
The video, which was shared on social media, appears to capture a car traveling at high speed down a busy road. According to reports, the driver overtakes other vehicles and veers onto the wrong side of the road. At one point, the speedometer on the vehicle is said to have reached 122mph. This clip is believed to have been recorded by an occupant of the Seat Leon involved in the crash. A timestamp on the video indicates it was filmed at 3am on Saturday, January 10, just hours before the fatal collision occurred at 12:50am on Sunday, January 11.
The crash took place on Wigan Road and involved a red Seat Leon and a Citroen C4 Picasso taxi. Three teenagers were killed in the Seat Leon, while the driver of the taxi, 54-year-old Masrob Ali, also lost his life. The victims from the Seat Leon have been identified as Mohammed Jibrael Mukhtar, 18, Farhan Patel, 18, and Mohammed Danyaal, 19. Mr. Ali’s family described him as “the gentlest soul,” highlighting his kind nature and long career as a taxi driver.

Five passengers were injured in the crash, with one woman suffering potentially life-threatening injuries. Another woman and a man sustained serious injuries, while a third man had minor injuries. An 18-year-old male passenger from the Seat Leon remains in the hospital for treatment.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are investigating the incident and have stated that the video is forming part of their probe. Detective Inspector Andrew Page of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit emphasized the importance of gathering information from witnesses and anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage. He urged the public to be mindful of sharing footage on social media, as it could impact the families involved in the tragedy.

The police have closed the scene of the crash but continue to appeal for any witnesses to come forward. They have provided contact details for those who wish to share information, including a direct line to GMP and the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline.

As the investigation continues, the community mourns the loss of four lives and seeks answers about how such a tragic event could occur. The video serves as a critical piece of evidence, offering insight into the events leading up to the collision. Authorities are working diligently to piece together the full story and ensure justice for the victims and their families.
