Why Alicia Silverstone Reached Out to Her Ex After Critics Choice Fashion Fiasco

While Alicia Silverstone looked radiant on the 2026 Critics Choice Awardsred carpet, she had difficulty with the zipper later that evening.
“We are unable to remove this dress,” Silverstone, 49, stated in a video that was shared throughInstagramon Friday, January 9. “What should we do? I have Bear and Bear’s father trying to assist me in getting out of this dress, and I can’t manage to get free from it.”
Silverstone and Christopher Jareckiwere united in marriage from 2005 until 2018, throughout which period theywelcomed their son, Bear. The former partners now amicably co-parent their 14-year-old child, even residing in the same neighborhood.
According to the Clueless actress, she contacted Jarecki, 49, for help when she returned from the awards event earlier this month.

She has a large bottom,” Jarecki joked in reply, causing Silverstone to laugh. “She has a really big bottom.
Silverstone donned a form-fitting, backless silver Stella McCartney dress to theCritics Choice Awards, which she complemented with accessories from Le Vian Jewelry and A. Jaffe.

Silverstone maintains her ongoing acting career while raising Bear with Jarecki.
“I’m truly fortunate that we have such a great … we’re so effective at co-parenting together,” she said.exclusively told Us Weekly In November 2018, she said, “We both see [our son] Bear, unless I’m out filming somewhere where he can’t be present, but he typically joins me anyway.”
As per Silverstone, she and Jarecki “communicate daily” regarding Bear’s schedule and what is best for him.
